Spring is in the air and we have the sawmill fired up and running. We are sawing live edge slabs and rough sawn lumber. Check out our products pages for details and inventory of the materials we have on hand.

 

Hardwoods Including Oak and Maple.

We have a supply of oak and maple logs coming into our shop which we are processing into firewood, live edge slabs and rough sawn lumber. As we process a tree, we consider what parts can be used for lumber or live edge slabs. The rest gets cut up into firewood. Tree bark and limbs get processed into mulch or are left behind in the forest where they break down into nutrients for other trees. Nothing goes to waste at Country Wood Products.

 

Soft Woods Including Pine

We have a source for pine logs which we will be processing into dimensional lumber for sale. Some special pieces will be turned into beautiful live edge slabs. And, as with the hard woods, nothing goes to waste.

 

Poplar

Poplar is often sawn into dimensional lumber and can be used in place of pine. As with the other species of wood, sometimes we get a special piece into our wood yard and we saw that into live edge slabs. The grain and coloring in poplar can be quite beautiful.
